A Kid’s Love Language

You will seldom find a child who asks for time alone. Usually, it is the opposite request, “Will you play with me?

Playing dolls with a girl or army men with a boy is not that enjoyable for me. Instead, I find a game we both can enjoy. Two popular ones for us through the years have been Hide and Seek and the Uno card game.

If you want to show love and kindness to the kids in your life, give them some of your time.

Warning: You will be the popular adult they want to be with.

A Relationship On The Rocks

What is holding you back?

Fear of rejection.

Your pride.

Life is short. Some lives end very unexpectedly. You really don’t know how many more chances you have to make things right.

Don’t end up suffering with regret. Regret that you didn’t try before it was too late and now you will never have a chance again. Don’t procrastinate!

Try starting with a small gesture. Possibly send a card or a text message saying something simple such as “Just thinking of you.” or “How have you been?” Just try something.

If some time has passed since the conflict, hopefully, the emotions have decreased and there will be room for healing and restoration.

Restoration is the goal. It is not about who was right and who was wrong.

Be the initiator. Make the first move.

You may be pleasantly surprised.
