That Person Is An Idiot

Most of us have probably said that or at least thought it.

Our lives can be molded and affected by others and circumstances such as a bad childhood or marriage or school life, loss of a loved one, financial hardship, illness, and on and on….

Most of these situations are beyond our control. But we may be damaged by them. We carry those wounds with us. They can affect our behavior.

Here is a solution that may help you cope with those damaged people.

Put yourself in their shoes. Take yourself out of your life and place yourself in their life. How would you feel? How would you react in their situation?

That type of understanding and compassion is not easy to do, but it will give you a better perspective of their life.

Here’s an even larger perspective.

They may be an idiot in an area of their life, but we all have our faults and shortcomings.

More than likely, someone has thought you were an idiot too.

It’s better to think of us all as damaged people because none of us is perfect. We all have our problems.

So where do we go from here?

Treat others the way you would like to be treated.

How To Not Be a Loser

Here is a surefire way to never win. In fact, it could make you a lifetime loser. It is to look at other people and compare yourself to them.

You’re one-of-a-kind. No one else is like you. God made you different than everyone else on purpose. No two people are exactly alike. Take that individuality and improve on it. Be the best you.

Focus inward. Be a better you than you were yesterday. Decide what you can do better and do it. Sure, you may see traits in others that you would like to model, so do it but make them your own.

And when you achieve a personal goal, reward yourself, because you’re a winner, you deserve it!
